Is MPA the same organization as Children in Film?
No. MPA is a separate organization from Children in Film. However, we have the same roster of studio teachers and perform all the services that Children in Film Performed.
How is MPA different from Children in Film?
MPA is a non-profit organization. While Children in film primarily offered studio teachers and work permits, MPA will be offering tutoring, scholarships, college counseling, mental health support, teen/peer mentoring, webinars, networking events, panels and more!
Can I get my permit renewed with MPA if I got it through Children in Film?
Yes! We may need to reset your password if you don’t know it, but we can absolutely renew your permit. Just email permits@minorperformeralliance.org and we will get you all set up.
Can I book a studio teacher through MPA?
Yes! We have a nationwide and international roster of teachers, many of whom were teachers with Children in Film. Just email matt@minorperformeralliance.org and we will get you all set up.
Will Children in Film still be around to help me with anything?
No. Though she is an active member of our board of advisors, Toni Casala is retired and Children in Film has closed its operations. MPA will be taking over all of Children in Film’s services.

Who is Matt McGee?
Matt is a lifelong educator and college admissions specialist. He founded MPA in 2024 as a way to ensure minor performers were getting a proper education and had access to resources for academic, mental health and career success.
